Dealing With Physical Anxiety

Physical anxiety is manifested in numerous ways including headaches, stomach disorders, and overwhelming fatigue.  All of these symptoms result in increased stress on the body and on the mind and can eventually lead to the rapid deterioration of physical stability and mental acuity.

Physical Anxiety

Six primary disorders that lead to physical anxiety are:

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Panic Attacks / Disorders

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD sufferers demonstrate physical anxiety through the tendency to have uncontrollable thoughts that lead to compulsive, repetitive behaviors such as hand washing over and over.

Separation Anxiety

Separation anxiety is more common in, but not limited to, children.  Sufferers exhibit extreme agitation and anxiety when taken out of their own “safe” environment.
